After graduation when I started my career at Oracle with little knowledge on ERP I found that most of the learning happens informally. I did a lot of self-study and was assisted by my colleagues at Oracle who were more than helpful. This is not only the case with me but for many others.
Most of the learning doesn’t happen within the confines of a course, or a formal learning program, but from organic experiences: reading, networking, participating; activities that traditionally haven’t fallen under the heading learning primarily because there is no technology available to track these learning. Thus organizations and individuals are losing this information.
We started EnGrip to solve this challenge. We are building tools and technology to capture your learning wherever it happens. With EnGrip, all your learning counts not just the certificates from work and training courses. Do you think a 2-page resume tells everything about your knowledge. Certainly not! You are more than your resume and that is what you can prove with EnGrip.
We believed that a record of users’ learning experiences can be a more informative version of their experience than a resume and publishing such experiences can help in identifying them as an expert in a particular field to be sought after for an advice, questions or even jobs. And we are calling that a Living Resume.
We will use this blog as a medium to communicate our thoughts and seek feedback from people like you.
Note: EnGrip Tracker now supports desktop/laptop and Chrome/Firefox/Opera browsers only.
